Our Results

We take great pride in being the leading institution for English EAL/D tutoring in New South Wales, renowned for our exceptional educational service and HSC results.

In 2023 HSC alone, 5 out of 10 state rankers in EAL/D were Uwin students. 42% of all distinguished achievers (students that achieved band 6) across NSW in English EAL/D chose to do EAL/D tutoring in Uwin.
In the past 3 years, 10 Uwin students achieved state rank and over 50 Uwin students scored band 6. [On average, only 2.5% of students across the whole state score band 6 in the subject]

How our year 12 English term course works

Unlock the secrets of HSC English with our thorough resources, text-specific materials, and step-by-step explanations and analysis provided in each weekly lesson. We ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of the content, themes, and stylistic nuances while bolstering analytical and essay-writing skills. With this, students are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to produce state-ranking quality essays for HSC exams.

2.Compose, edit, consolidate and improve
Experience continuous improvement through regular writing practice, both in-class and through homework tasks, complemented by personalized, insightful teacher feedback.

3.Test and develop exam skills
Solidify your understanding and boost your confidence for the HSC exam with end-of-term mock practice

Yes, the Uwin Year 11 or 12 English tutoring program covers every aspect of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Syllabus thoroughly.

All our Year 12 English group lessons are prescribed text based. Our Year 11 lessons touch on popular prescribed texts (eg. Othello) during one of the school terms and in the other school terms we focus on enhancing students’ reading comprehension and creative writing skills.

Yes, Uwin offers limited free 1 on 1 assessment help tutorials to help maximize students’ assessment results. In addition, students can also ask questions or get their essays edited during our weekly consultation sessions.

100% of our students have reported an improvement in their confidence and marks since enrolling into the Uwin Year 11 or 12 English tutoring course.

All Uwin classes seat a maximum of 15 students to support an interactive and engaging student learning environment.

If you want more individual support, you can choose to enroll in our 1 on 1 lessons or do 1 on 2 / 3 with your friends.

We offer Year 11 & 12 English courses during the school term or in the school holidays. [Term course and holiday course cover different content] 

  • Term course: 2 hour weekly lessons over 10 weeks
  • Holiday course: 2 hour daily lessons over 6 – 11 days (Year 12 holiday course structure vary each holiday, please contact us for further details)
  • 1 on 1 lessons (1 on 2 or 3): 2 hours weekly lessons over 10 weeks (schedule is flexible)

Students can catch up through watching the recording of the missed lesson. Uwin also offers a limited option to catch up through a 1 on 1 tutorial.
